Attention local business owners/operators, our W-G news crew has an opportunity for you to get your business name & logo aired on our daily morning announcements which is streamed & broadcasted on our YouTube channel! For more information, please see the attached letter below.

Our 4th and 5th grade students took a trip to the Allen County Museum to extend their learning for minerals and early travel for both of their science and social studies classes earlier this week.

Thank you to all who have donated chalk! Our students are more than thankful!

Miss Brinkman's 6th graders have been working hard on their positive and negative space projects. How cool are these?!

Mrs. Shephard's classes read a story titled, "Faster, Farther, Higher." Students learned the history & parts of the skateboard. Today skaters do tricks people never thought were even possible. Students then created ramps, in the Makerspace, to send skaters even higher!

Junior marching band member, Drake, created & printed a banner to precede the W-G Marching Band as it participates in area parades. The banner was printed in the school's MakerDen. Check out Drake's banner this week at the Wapakoneta Halloween Parade! Good work Drake! Go Tigers!

W-G's Rocket Team is launching in preparation for competition in April. We had the best countdown team!

The WG Cheerleading & Volleyball program combined the funds raised for Breast Cancer Awareness Month for a final donation of $2,350 to the JD Breast Cancer Foundation! Thank you so much to all of our sponsors who made this possible. In this Tiger family, no one fights alone 💓

Mrs. Barrington's Sixth Grade Science classes taught Mrs. Zechman and Mrs. Burden's Second Graders all about the Rock Cycle. They did this by reading them the story they created about their Journey through the Rock Cycle.

Next week is Red Ribbon Week!
Plan to help us celebrate by participating in dress up days!

Miss Brinkman's 7th and 8th graders have been working on monochromatic paintings. The students used one color and then white or black to lighten or darken their image. Great job to all !

In Miss Presar's technology class, 5th graders are learning about different careers in STEM fields. Over the last two weeks both classes have designed, created, & tested their own Halloween catapults. Teams competed to see which catapult could launch candy pumpkins the farthest.

Mrs. Zechman’s class has been studying magnets. They have played with magnets and they used their magnets to find objects that are magnetic in their discovery bottles!

Reminder : Tomorrow, October 17th is picture retake day. Please do not wear green if you plan on getting your picture retaken tomorrow.

Students from Mr. Roberts' Leadership class have started coming to the Kindergarten rooms to read a story on Friday's! One story they gathered in Miss Crates' room to listen to was “How Big Could Your Pumpkin Grow?”

Mr. Crites & Mrs. Downey's 4th & 5th Grade classes attended the Young People's Concert performed by the Lima Symphony Orchestra. Guest violinist, Charles Yang, & LSO Music Director, Andrew Crust, introduced the students to the instruments of the orchestra & the versatility of the violin.
