For the Lunar New Year, Miss Brinkman worked with some of the Elementary students and talked about the Holiday along with how people celebrate it. They made Fans, lanterns, dragons and decorated the symbol.


W-G's FFA attended the Sunrise Cooperative Career Day 2024.

At the end of each month, Mrs. Kinstle's students research and give a presentation on a Today in History topic. Some topics have included the first basketball game played, the Harlem Globetrotters, the Golden Gate Bridge, the space shuttle Challenger disaster, and COVID.


Tonight's HS Girls Basketball game at Ridgedale has been postponed to Saturday. The JV game will start at 1:00pm and will be 2 quarters followed by the varsity game.

Mrs. Casey's class learned all about shadows and Groundhogs Day. They did a lot of shadow exploration, including a shadow show and tell and shadow tracing. They also made Shadow art and made predictions on if the Groundhog will see his shadow after learning about Groundhogs!


Mrs. Searson's 6th graders are building a dog sled to race during their Iditarod Writing Unit. Parameters for the build include essential parts (runners, cargo bed, etc.) and will attach to a Sphero robot (dog sled team). We are excited to see who crosses the finish line first!


Students in Mr. Wireman's class are going to begin work on their Invention Fair Projects next week. They took a walk through the school Makerspace to begin looking at inventions at school, what problems they solve, and how the school might look different without them.
