Mrs. Ludwig's 4th grade Social Studies classes visited the White Memorial Library on last week to check out the Auglaize County Historical Society display.

Last week, students in Miss. Nolan's English 9 worked with Mrs. Junkins in the green screen room to record a news broadcast! Based on events from their class novel, students spent the week writing a script, recording, and editing their videos.

Happy Homecoming Week! We kicked today off with PAJAMA DAY and our students crushed it!! Reminder: Tomorrow's spirit wear theme is Biker vs. Surfer! We cannot wait to see what you all will come dressed as.

Last week was apple week in Mrs. McKinney's preschool room. The students did some apple tasting, predicted which apple they would like the best then they graphed their predictions on the board. They also got to taste the different color apples. What a fun ending to apple week!

Mr. Schnippel and his students had great weather at the Farm Science Review that they attended last week!

Mrs. Lee took her Physics & Astronomy classes & visited the eRockets warehouse in Dayton to built their first rocket prototypes for the American Rocketry Challenge. Their rockets must reach a height of 820 ft & return to Earth is 43-46 seconds to qualify for Nationals in May.

I received an update from C-R's Athletic Director this morning on their injured player. He was released from the hospital late last night and has regained his feeling and was up and walking around. He even joined his teammates this morning! Thank you for all your prayers and we continue to wish for a speedy recovery! -Mr. Swaney

It's beginning to look like Fall in Kindergarten! Both classes did math fall trees, sequencing with "There was an Old Lady Who Swallowed Some Leaves," and some fine motor tree activities!

Students in Mr. Wireman's class worked to create a model of the Solar System by coding Sphero robots! Even though we didn't get the whole system in working order - a lot of students were able to get their planets revolving around the sun!

Earlier this week, the Yearbook class went to Wapakoneta High School for the Josten's Yearbook Conference. Students learned about the yearbook program, how to create yearbook themes, how to get high-quality photos on phones, and current trends to add to the yearbook.

Homecoming festivities begin on Monday, September 25th. We can't wait to see our students and staff participate! See below for all of the information you should need for spirit week!

6th Grade science students reviewed the Big Idea, "What is a mineral?" by sketch-noting on whiteboards.

Mrs. Szippl and Mr. Wireman conducted a co-teaching lesson with their students earlier this week. The students were able to participate in a game called "Speed Round" to review for their test coming up.

W-G's Second Graders are learning about spiders. They each found 3 facts, made hats and then shared their facts with their friends!

Miss Hennon's Officiating class had the opportunity to referee the WGYSA football game last night at W-G! Dalton , Drew & Ty are working toward becoming OHSAA certified football officials! Mr. Spencer officiated with them & it was a great experience all around. Great job boys!

Did you know that today is International Dot Day? Miss Brinkman's students that she has for art have participated in making a dot for international dot day. Dot day was inspired by and came from the book "The Dot" by Peter Reynolds.
