Mrs. Casey's class spent the month of January learning about animals that hibernate, migrate and adapt to the winter weather. Students played "hibernate, hibernate, awake!", used non standard units of measurement to measure parts of their bears, made caves for their bears to hibernate in, and participated in many themed science, math and literacy activities. One of their favorite activities was using the "blubber glove" to learn how arctic animals can survive the ice cold water!
