2017 W-G Homecoming Week Activities

Waynesfield-Goshen Homecoming Festivities – September 25th – October 1st


The 2017 Waynesfield-Goshen Homecoming Festivities will take place Monday, September 25th through Sunday, October 1st. Each school day will have a dress-up theme to celebrate the week.


Monday – Pajama Day
Tuesday – Tourist Tuesday
Wednesday – 80’s Workout Wednesday
Thursday – Class Color
Friday – Blue & Gold Spirit Day


The annual Homecoming Parade and Powderpuff Game will take place on Thursday, September 28th. The Parade will begin at 6:30pm, with the Powderpuff Game to follow. Those teams/organizations wishing to participate in the parade can begin to line-up at 5:30pm in the parking lot behind the school. The parade will feature the 2017 homecoming court, the 2016 queen, and the homecoming queen from 1967, 1977, and 1987.


The traditional Homecoming Football Game will take place on Friday, September 29th against Riverside. The introduction of the court and crowning of the queen will begin at 6:30pm with kick-off scheduled for 7pm.


The Homecoming Dance will take place on Saturday, September 30th from 8-11pm in the Waynesfield-Goshen Auditeria. The dance is open to W-G Students grades 9-12, and admission to the dance will be $5.00


Finally, the Homecoming Festivities will conclude with the Waynesfield-Goshen Athletic Department “Homecoming” Golf Outing on Sunday, October 1st at Prairie View Golf Club. The scramble will begin at 1:30 with a shotgun start, and cost is $50 per person, which includes greens fees, cart, and meal following. All proceeds from the event go to benefit the W-G Athletic Department Uniform Fund. Register your team by calling Prairie View Golf Club.
