Targets for qualification 2018

Each year some of the automatic qualifiers choose not to compete in their event. Historically, the Triple Jump and longer running races see some people drop and lower ranked runners will get in. Teams very rarely if ever drop relays and throwers never seem to drop. If you want a shot in those events, you will definitely need to be top 24. You might have a chance if you are in the top 30 for some of the other events. The best way to insure you are in is to be in the top 24. Here is a chart that lists what mark was in 24th last year and would have qualified. It might be a bit higher or lower this year, but this should give you a good idea what is needed.
