Waynesfield-Goshen Preschool is a child centered program dedicated to meeting each individual child’s need. The program serves students eligible for special services as well as typically developing 3, 4, and 5 year olds. Our goal/mission is to provide children in our community with a preschool experience filled with activities to enhance their development in learning social and academic skill needed for successful school years. Children learn through a variety of ways. Our goal is to offer a safe and nurturing environment that allows each student opportunities to enhance skills needed to transition into Kindergarten. These opportunities would include: hands-on activities, role-playing, problem solving, peer interaction, listening skills, just to name a few.
Parents are a vital part of the development and learning of a child. Therefore communication between teacher and parent is a priority at W-G Preschool. A weekly progress report is completed on every student and given to the parent , parent /teacher conferences are held twice a year as well. W-G Preschool has an open door policy to which parents may visit the classroom at any time.
