The 7th grade girls opened up the season with a convincing win over the Anna Rockets. The 8th grade girls played hard but lost to a solid Anna squad 31-18.
On 11/28/11 the 7th grade girls defeated Botkins 44 - 10 and the 8th grade bounced back over Botkins with a 41-14 victory. Thursday, Dec. 1 the 7th grade defeated
Ada by a score of 38-32 and the 8th grade won 33-32. On Saturday, Dec. 3 the 7th grade won over St. Marys 28-18 and the 8th grade defeated St. Marys 26 -20.
At this point the 7th grade is undefeated at 4-0 and the 8th grade is 3-1. On Tuesday, Dec. 6, both teams won convincingly over Perry. The 7th grade won by a score of 50-7 and the 8th grade won 51-7. On Tuesday, Dec. 13 the 8th grade traveled to Riverside and won by a score of 46-18. Both girls teams will play Saturday, Dec. 17 at Jackson Center.. The 7th grade suffered their 1st defeat of the season by a score of 33-22. The 8th grade won a hard fought contest by a score of 39-25. The 7th grade will resume play on Thursday, Jan. 5 and the 8th grade finish up 2011 with a game Monday, Dec. 19 at Temple Christian. On Tuesday, the 8th grade defeated
Temple Christian 44-9 to improve their record to 7-1. To begin the second half of the season both Jr. High teams traveled to Allen East on Jan. 5 and returned home victorious. The 7th grade won by a score of 33-22 and the 8th grade came out on top 30-14. The 7th gr. girls defeated Holy Rosary 46-23. The girls return home vs. Kenton next Thursday, Jan. 12. The girls continued their winning ways with the 7th grade beating Kenton 40-27 and the 8th grade won 44-30, despite a very sluggish first half. The girls travel to Fairlawn on Saturday, Jan. 14. Both teams were victorious at Fairlawn on Saturday. The 7th grade girls won 31-27 and the 8th grade won 29-17. On Tuesday, Jan. 17 the 7th grade girls defeated Ridgemont handily by a score of 42-18 and the 8th grade girls also defeated Ridgemont by a score of 38-21.
On Thursday, Jan. 19 the 8th grade girls hosted Marion Catholic and won convincingly by a score of 45-5. Both teams will play host to New Knoxville on Saturday, January 21 at 10:00 am. The 7th grade girls defeated New Knoxville 41-27 and the 8th grade girls also won beating the Rangers by a score of 34-26. The 7th and 8th grade girls continued their winning ways on Jan. 24 by defeating Fairbanks 37-17 in the 7th grade contest and by a score of 42-23 in the 8th grade game.
The finish the regular season and league play next Tuesday, Jan. 31 at U.S.V. The 7th grade girls defeated USV 33-17 to finish undefeated in the league and with an overall record of 13-1. The 8th grade girls also beat USV by a score of 36-25 to finish undefeated in league play and with an overall record of 15-1. Both teams will begin tournament play next Tuesday, Feb. 7 at home. Times and opponents yet to be determined. On Feb. 7 the 7th gr. girls advanced to the finals of the NWCC Tournament by defeating Ridgemont by a score of 48-21 and the 8th gr. girls advanced to the semi-finals by defeating Temple Christian 48-9. The 7th gr. girls will
be playing at 10:00 am at Riverside. The 8th gr. girls will be playing Riverside at home on Thursday, Feb. 9 at 5:00 pm. The 8th grade girls defeated Riverside 20-9 to advance to the finals of the NWCC Tournament. The championship game is scheduled to played on Saturday at Riverside at approximately 1:00pm.CONGRATULATIONS to the 7th and 8th grade teams! The 7th grade girls defeated USV to win the NWCC Tournament by a score of 40-20. The 8th grade girls defeated Fairbanks 30-14 to win the NWCC Tournament. The 7th grade girls went undefeated in the league and was 16-1 on the season. The 8th grade girls also went undefeated in the league and finished with an overall record of 18-1.
