Jr. High Football 2011

In the Teams opening game of the season the Tigers came ready to play against Ridgemont.
The Tigers dominated both sides of the line of scrimmage for a convincing 36-6 victory. We have
another week of practice before traveling to Fairbanks on Thursday, Sept. 8. I know the team is
up to the challenge and will work to improve our level of play. The Tigers went to Fairbanks and
won 24 - 0 with a suffocating defense and ball control offense. In week 3 the Tigers suffered their
first loss of the season at Perry with a score of 12 - 8. The Tigers had the ball 1st and goal on the
5, with 1:14 left and could not punch it in. In week 5 the Tigers bounced back with a 3- 14 victory
over Riverside. On Tuesday, Sept. 27 the Tigers traveled to Sidney-Lehman and was defeated by
a score of 28-8. We had difficulty stopping the big play. Our next game is Thursday, Oct. 6 at
home against U.S.V. In week 6 the Tigers were defeated soundly by USV 36-6. As stated by several
of our players we just did not show up. In week 7 at Lima Stadium, the Tigers did show up against
Lima South and won in convincing fashion by a score of 32-6. The Tigers will end their season next
Thursday, Oct. 20 at home vs. Ft. Loramie. The Tigers finished the season with a home loss to
Ft. Loramie by a score of 18-8. The Tigers came out sluggish in the first half, but did turn things
around and played a much better second half. The Tigers finished with a record of 4 wins & 4 losses.
