Welcome to the 2017-2018 school year. I am honored to serve as the principal for the Waynesfield Goshen Middle and High School. Ensuring that all students learn how to succeed through a wide variety of learning opportunities is a priority for our school. Our students are encouraged to practice a growth mindset in all challenges and to never accept failure as an option. Through a strong academic assist program, all students have a teacher who serves as a mentor to encourage and guide them to put forth the effective effort that it takes to be successful. As a staff, we continue to develop programs that provide a rich variety of learning experiences so students can build the confidence needed to set and reach personal goals for their futures. Students have many academic opportunities through a strong college prep curriculum as well as a curriculum that equips students to enter the workforce or a vocational program during or after high school if that is their pathway. In addition to a strong academic program, our students are offered the opportunity to develop skills through a variety of electives that include career connections, computer applications, economics, agriculture, robotics, engineering, journalism, art, band, choir, personal fitness, and drama. Students are also invited to participate in our athletic programs as another way to grow critical social and emotional skills that come from being part of an interscholastic team. Our athletic programs include football, volleyball, cross country, cheerleading, basketball, indoor track, baseball, softball and track. The staff at Waynesfield Goshen is dedicated to working to develop the unique abilities and personalities of all students to instill a true appreciation for the love of learning so that we prepare every student today for a successful future. If you have any questions or would like more information about the many learning opportunities offered at Waynesfield Goshen Middle and High School, please contact Becky Diglia at 419-568-9100.
